I was completely sold on AI from the outset and have been doing AI-assisted coding for years already. I use heuristics (separation of concerns, bounded complexity, under-abstraction where relevant) and intuition to ensure my code scales, feels human, and stays manageable, despite being AI generated. My ability to do this stems from over a decade of hands-on manual coding and product development in the pre-AI era, in high autonomy, high pace environments. I consider myself extremely industrious and trustworthy - I do things fast and well, with no handholding - I haven't worked any other way since 2016.
